Flexible Hardware Support for Interworking Systems

چکیده
Todays FPGA technology allows reconngurable hardware to be integrated into standard PC hardware. With this kind of hardware it is possible to change hardware functionality on-they and to remove and insert complete subsystems just by rebooting the conngurable parts. Hardware like this has new demands on software that often can't be fulllled by the classical device driver concept used in todays operating systems. This paper presents a exible and on-they reconngurable hardware subsystem for interwork-ing systems together with software integration that allows fast and eecient reconnguration of the hardware. It provides a exible integration into a Unix environment.

متن کامل3G and WLAN Interworking Security: Current Status and Key
The third-generation (3G) mobile communication systems provide great coverage, complete subscriber management and nearly universal roaming. Nevertheless, 3G systems are subject to the low data rates (2Mbps highest for WCDMA). WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) provides hot spot coverage with high data rates (reaches 54Mbps while 802.11 a/g), but is subject to short range (reaches 100m the furth...

Third generation mobile systems supporting UMTS radio access, will offer a wide range of telecommunication services including voice, video and data. In line with the ETSI GMM report, these services will be provided in both public and private environments via multiple access networks such as ATM, DECT, GSM and UMTS. The evolution path from second generation systems towards UMTS is investigated w...

The future beyond third generation (B3G) or fourth generation (4G) systems will consist of different radio access technologies, such as GSM/GPRS, UMTS, WiFi, and WiMAX. Many intensive efforts have been made to identify the unsolved issues about the future mobile systems, and one important issue is what the future vertical handover management solution will be. A variety of mobility management so...

Modelling and Verification of Interworking between SIP and H.323 Ligang Wang Various standards organizations have considered signaling for voice and video over IP from different approaches. There are currently two standards for signaling and control of Internet telephone calls, namely ITU-T Recommendation H.323 and the IETF Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). H.323 is an umbrella standard that p...
